Videorgy
Published on March 28th, 2009 @ 04:10:50 pm , using 103 words, 2174 views
In light of the fact that we didn’t have a podcast to bring you, we’re having a videorgy. So of course it’s resplendent with scantily clad men and women and… houses. The combination is endless fun, I promise, especially if Tellier’s the referee. Actually, I can’t tell if it’s Dov Charney in a Tellier suit, or vice versa, but AA-gripes aside, I love this video. He’s a cheesy romancer, but it’s the only way he knows how to be (he’s French), and you can’t help but love him. Plus the animated hotdogs…. just watch.
Respect the sexy signal.

I came across this pretty badical video, heavily inspired by one of my favorite videos, royksopp’s remind me. Forgot to record the live show feed of last week’s show, I’ll have the playlist and mix up shortly… until then enjoy.

New Video from The Mighty Underdogs

From Droppin Science Fiction… Notice the voodoo between our new skin and the female-in-space scenes. Wild!! They look beautiful together. And I think they borrowed a set from Astronaut Jones.

The Mighty Underdogs are Gift of Gab (from Blackalicious and featured in N.A.S.A.’s Spirit of Apollo), Lateef The Truthspeaker (from Latyrx) and produced by Headnodic (of Crown City Rockers) on the Definitive Jux label. You can catch other songs from Droppin Science Fiction on Show 21 and Show 24.

Live:
Mix:
As you might notice, there are two tracks here. One is our standard Live show podcast. The other is a new format, I wrote a nice linux script to compile a mp3 of our playlists into a mix (note: there is no crossfading, it just connects all the songs together). From now on our shows will be available in both formats, and we will be running the script on our old shows and adding links to the old posts as well as a whole new podcast feed for the new mixes. I hope y’all enjoy now.

I really like N.A.S.A.’s Spirit Of Apollo, and so does Xeni at Boing Boing who’s been following the multi-elemental hyper-collaborative project. The Spirit of the Apollo music CD was recently released and Electronic Phonics has been all over it. We’re now waiting patiently desperate for the music documentary side of it. And since videos are not radio friendly, I’ve graciously linked you to BB, who offers not only 2 of the vids but also a short interview with Syd Garon, co-creator of the upcoming music documentary from N.A.S.A, and a quickie with Mr. Byrne who contributed to some of the songs on the album, as well as other pertinent info on the artists behind the docu and other great contributing people and things.
